Lawrenceburg Man Charged With Stealing Beer

   A young Lawrenceburg man was charged the crime of theft after he allegedly shoplifted beer from a local grocery store Saturday.

   Lawrenceburg Police Officers were dispatched to SuperRama, 818 North Locust Avenue, around 2:15 p.m. A clerk reported that a man had attempted to leave the premises without paying for two beers, valued at $3.18.

   The man was stopped and detained by store employees, until police officers arrived on the scene.      

Jason Wade Vanderford, 23, of 321 Randall Street, Lawrenceburg, was issued a citation, charging him with the crime of theft. He is scheduled to answer the charge through Lawrenceburg City Court on June 22.
